ND Oil Production Slips to 34.8M Barrels in May

North Dakota's oil production took a dip in May, according to recent numbers released by the Department of Mineral Resources. The state produced more than 34.8 million barrels in May, which is a decrease of 16,000 barrels per day compared to previous months.

This still puts North Dakota among the top three oil-producing states in the nation, behind Texas and New Mexico.

The state currently has 24 active drilling rigs in operation, with an additional 27 located in the Williston Basin, which includes part of eastern Montana.
