ND Oil Production Surges 2.5% as New Drilling Rigs Arrive
North Dakota's oil production numbers continue to improve, with an average of 1.153 million barrels per day in June, up from 1.125 million barrels per day in May.
This represents a near 2.5% production increase and is 0.24% over the revenue forecast, according to Nathan Anderson, director of the North Dakota Department of Mineral Resources.
Anderson noted that this growth was expected due to higher oil prices resulting from the ongoing U.S. war with Iran, but was surprised by how quickly it occurred.
