Nebraska's Agricultural Economy Rides Global Trade Wave
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Clayton Yeutter Institute of International Trade and Finance plays a key role in preparing future agricultural leaders, according to Jayson Beckman.
Nebraska is one of the nation's most export-oriented states, with over one-third of its agricultural production being consumed by international customers. Global markets for commodities such as beef, corn, pork, soybeans, ethanol, and dry beans rely on demand from around the world.
'These global markets bring us demand for our products,' Beckman said. 'They help support prices, and they help support the Nebraska agricultural and total economy.'
