Nepal Gold Price Plunges Rs 6,400 as Silver Falls Rs 165
The price of gold in Nepal's domestic market dropped by Rs 6,400 per tola (11.6638 grams) last week, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association (FENEGOSIDA).
Despite a brief spike due to possible US inflation data, the overall trend was downward, with the largest decline observed on Friday at Rs 4,800 per tola.
The gold price decreased from Rs 307,400 to Rs 301,000 per tola over the period. Silver prices also dropped by Rs 165 per tola, down to Rs 4,600.
Market fluctuations were attributed to factors such as strong US jobs data and potential interest rate hikes by the Federal Reserve.
