The price of gold in Nepal's domestic market surged by Rs 15,100 per tola over the past week due to rising international bullion prices.

This significant increase has led to a three-month high for gold prices globally, driven by the US Treasury's buyback support plan that weakened the US dollar and boosted demand for precious metals.

Data from the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association (FENEGOSIDA) shows that fine gold rose in price from Rs 301,600 per tola at the close of the previous week to Rs 316,700 per tola by Friday.

The largest single-day gain was recorded on Thursday when the price jumped by Rs 9,300 per tola. Meanwhile, silver prices also increased significantly, rising by Rs 325 per tola over the week.
