Nepal Oil Corporation Brings LPG Sales In-House Amid Supply Shortage
The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has started selling liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders from its Teku office to address a cooking gas shortage in the market. The state-owned corporation began selling 14.2-kg LPG cylinders on Saturday, after demand surged for cylinders supplied by several gas companies serving the Kathmandu Valley.
The NOC said it had directed all LPG bottling companies to ensure smooth market distribution following complaints of supply shortages in recent days. The corporation also stated that LPG is being supplied daily in line with consumer demand and urged suppliers to maintain uninterrupted distribution across the market.
