Netherlands' Manufacturing Output Prices Rise 4.4% in June Amid Slowing Crude Oil Price Growth
Netherlands' manufacturing output prices rose by 4.4 per cent in June 2026, slowing from a 5.9-per cent increase in May, according to Statistics Netherlands (CBS). The moderation reflected a smaller jump in crude oil prices, although energy costs remained higher than a year ago.
The average price of a barrel of crude oil exceeded €73 in June, up by more than 20 per cent year on year. This compared with nearly €89 per barrel in May, when prices were almost 56 per cent higher than a year earlier, CBS said.
Prices for petroleum products rose by 27.0 per cent year on year (YoY) in June, easing from a 46.7-per cent increase in May. The chemical industry's output prices increased by 16.9 per cent in June compared with 18.9 per cent in May.
