Nevada Gas Prices Dip Amid Rising Crude Oil Costs
The average price of regular gasoline in Nevada decreased by about 2 cents this week to $4.77, according to AAA. This decline comes despite a rise in crude oil prices, which have returned to the $80-per-barrel range due to ongoing uncertainty along the Strait of Hormuz.
Doug Johnson, spokesperson for AAA Mountain West Group, noted that while gasoline demand is down, crude oil prices are keeping pump prices higher than normal. The national average gas price has climbed to $4.07, with Nevada's price remaining lower at $4.76 in Las Vegas and $5.04 in Reno.
The nation's 10 most expensive markets for gasoline include California ($5.58), Hawaii ($5.43), and Washington ($5.16). The least expensive markets are Louisiana ($3.57), Indiana ($3.59), and Mississippi ($3.60).
