Newmont Delivers Record Cash Flow as Gold Prices Shape Outlook

Newmont, the world's largest gold producer, reported record quarterly free cash flow of approximately US$2.2 billion in its second-quarter 2026 results.

The company returned around US$1.8 billion to shareholders through dividends and share buybacks during the quarter, with cumulative share buybacks exceeding 100 million shares since the repurchase program commenced, reducing the overall share count by approximately 9%.

Newmont produced approximately 1.3 million attributable ounces of gold in Q2 FY26, reaffirming its full-year 2026 production guidance of approximately 5.3 million ounces of gold and all-in sustaining costs (AISC) of around US$1,680 per ounce for the year.

The company's strong financial position was maintained, with a cash balance of approximately US$9.0 billion, net cash position of approximately US$3.4 billion, and total liquidity of approximately US$13 billion at the end of Q2 FY26.
