Newmont Share Price Rises With Record Gold Prices
Newmont Corporation, the world's largest gold miner, saw its share price rise by about 4.16 per cent on August 10, 2026, as a surge in the bullion price boosted the entire Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) gold complex.
The company's operations have been benefiting from record gold prices, with the Fortune-tracked spot price sitting around US$4,305 an ounce in early August, up close to 27 per cent over the year.
Newmont's June-quarter result, released in late July, showed it produced about 1.3 million attributable gold ounces and reported net income of roughly US$2.2 billion, with adjusted earnings of around US$2.10 per diluted share.
The company's ability to hold costs while the gold price runs is a key variable investors are watching through the second half of the year, as Newmont remains on track to meet its full-year 2026 guidance of about 5.3 million attributable gold ounces.
