Nigeria Crude Oil Output Hits 1.68 Million Barrels Per Day in August
Nigeria's oil production has shown steady improvement, reaching 1.68 million barrels per day in August 2026. This marks a 0.4% increase from July's output of 1.67 million bpd, according to the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC).
The modest growth is attributed to the resolution of operational challenges at the Erha field, which had affected production performance in the preceding month.
Despite this increase, Nigeria still lags behind its June output of 1.735 million bpd by 57,621 barrels per day.
