Nigeria Develops Smart Wellhead System to Tackle Oil Theft

Nigeria's Alfa Designs Nigeria Ltd. has developed a smart wellhead monitoring system to improve safety and prevent oil losses in the country's oil and gas industry.

The patented technology provides real-time access to wellhead pressure and environmental conditions, allowing potential threats to be identified and addressed before they escalate into major incidents.

According to Mr. Ikechukwu Okonkwo, Head of Department at Alfa Design, the system can detect abnormal pressure fluctuations, pipeline tampering, and other dangerous conditions that could potentially trigger explosions or cause damage to oil production facilities.
