Nigeria LNG's Train 7 Expansion Project to Boost Domestic Energy Security
Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) is pushing forward with its Train 7 expansion project, aiming to boost domestic energy security and drive sustainable economic growth. The company's Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Adeleye Falade, said the project will increase NLNG's liquefied natural gas production capacity by 35 percent.
The project will raise NLNG's production capacity from 22 million tons per annum (mtpa) to 30 million tons per annum and increase Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) production by about 50 percent. This means an estimated 250,000 tons of LPG will be added annually to the domestic market.
Falade described Train 7 as one of Africa's largest LNG expansion projects, reflecting NLNG's confidence in Nigeria's gas potential and its commitment to long-term economic development.
