Nigeria Meets OPEC Quota for Fourth Straight Month

Nigeria met its OPEC quota for the fourth consecutive month in August 2026, producing 1.677 million barrels of crude oil and condensate per day, a 0.4% increase from July.

The country's production averaged 1.64 million barrels per day at its lowest point and reached a high of 1.71 million barrels per day during the month under review.

Bonny Terminal accounted for the largest share of daily production, averaging 320.04k barrels per day, followed by Forcados Terminal with 317.40k barrels per day.

The modest increase in August was largely due to the resolution of operational challenges at the Erha field and the restoration of normal evacuation and production operations.
