Nigeria Offers 1.9 Million Barrels of Crude Oil for Sale
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) has made its latest move in the international crude market by offering Cawthorne and Bonny Light cargoes for sale.
The state-owned energy company is seeking buyers for a total of 1.9 million barrels, split between two separate tenders.
The first tender is for 950,000 barrels of Cawthorne crude, scheduled to load between September 21 and 22, 2026. The second tender is for another 950,000 barrels of Bonny Light, with loading set to take place on September 30 to October 1.
Nigeria's efforts to broaden its crude export portfolio come as the country seeks to rebuild production and strengthen export earnings following years of operational disruptions and infrastructure challenges.
