Nigeria Targets 2.5 Million Barrels Per Day as NUPRC Steps Up Efforts
The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) is leading efforts to reach the ambitious target of 2.5 million barrels per day (mbpd) in oil production.
This goal was achieved last reached in November 2005, but despite post-Petroleum Industry Act investments, national output has not exceeded 1.7 mbpd since then.
To achieve this target, new investments and protection of oil assets are crucial, according to analysts.
Tantita Security Services Nigeria Ltd (TSSNL) is playing a key role in protecting oil pipelines in the Niger Delta region, ensuring the uninterrupted flow of petroleum resources.
