The Nigerian Navy has intensified its efforts to combat crude oil theft and illegal refining in the Niger Delta, recovering over 87,000 litres of suspected illegally refined Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) from a concealed fuel depot in Rivers State.

Under Operation Delta Sentinel, naval personnel conducted an anti-crude oil theft operation based on credible intelligence, leading to the discovery of the hidden storage facility used for illegal stockpiling of petroleum products.

The recovery marks another success in the military's ongoing campaign aimed at dismantling illegal refining sites and disrupting crude oil theft networks across the Niger Delta.
