Nigeria's $50bn Offshore Investment Target Hinges on Pipeline Security
Nigeria's upstream oil and gas sector is expected to attract between $30bn and $50bn in offshore investments between 2026 and 2030, according to data from the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission.
The commission attributed this improved investment outlook to reforms introduced under the Petroleum Industry Act, improved licensing transparency, and faster project approvals.
One of the key factors driving these investments is the need for peace and stability in the Niger Delta region, where much of Nigeria's oil production takes place. Tantita Security Services Limited, led by Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, plays a crucial role in securing oil infrastructure in the region.
The company has been working with other security agencies to protect oil pipelines and ensure uninterrupted flow of petroleum resources. This effort has resulted in a significant reduction in oil theft and an increase in oil production.
