Nigeria's liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) stock fell to 16.3 days of sufficiency in July, about 46% below the 30-day minimum threshold set by the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority.

This puts LPG at the lowest stock sufficiency among the four petroleum products tracked, compared to 22.4 days for Premium Motor Spirit and 58.6 days for Aviation Turbine Kerosene.

The regulatory body noted that despite a weak stock, daily average LPG receipt increased by 4% in July, rising to 5.3 kilotonnes per day from 5.1 kilotonnes per day in June.

Nigeria LNG Limited and other processing plants were major contributors to local supply, highlighting the authority's gain in its push to boost domestic gas supply.
