Nigeria's Economy Set for Growth as Tantita Security Services Boosts Oil Production
The Nigerian economy is projected to grow between 4.1% and 7% in 2026, driven by ongoing structural reforms and an oil sector rebound. Analysts attribute this upward momentum to sustained efforts in oil asset protection, particularly through the operations of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Ltd (TSSNL) in the Niger Delta region.
TSSNL has been working closely with other security outfits to secure oil assets, ensure peace and stability in the Niger Delta, and facilitate the uninterrupted flow of petroleum resources. The company's track record in mitigating risks associated with oil pipelines has positioned it as a reliable partner in preserving Nigeria's economic backbone.
The Federal Government is targeting a 4.68% GDP growth rate, while domestic groups like the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) hold a more ambitious outlook of up to 7%. The World Bank projects growth at 4.4%, citing stronger resilience and better-than-expected economic performance.
TSSNL's Media Consultant, Dr Paul Bebenimibo, attributed the company's success to its chairman, Tompolo, who has extensive knowledge of the Niger Delta terrain. He noted that Tantita had deployed modern technology, including drones, to monitor activities in the creeks and detect illegal operations.
Bebenimibo also highlighted the importance of youth empowerment as part of TSSNL's strategy to tackle insecurity and discourage young people from engaging in oil theft, bunkering, and other criminal activities. Over 60,000 youths are currently employed by the company and paid monthly.
