Crude oil prices have surged above $105 per barrel, prompting petroleum products retailers and marketers in Nigeria to consider another increase in the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS).

A crude oil price survey by DAILY POST showed that Brent crude and West Texas Intermediate (WTI) stood at $105.5 and $100.8 per barrel, respectively.

The spike in crude oil prices is attributed to retaliatory attacks on tankers by the United States and Iran amid the battle for dominance around the Strait of Hormuz.

Dangote Refinery's gantry price and ex-depot prices stood between N1,265 and N1,275 per litre, according to checks on PetroleumPrice.ng.
