Nikkiso Wins Contract to Supply Pumps for German LNG Terminal
Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases Group (Nikkiso CE&IG) has secured a contract to supply 16 submerged motor pumps for the German LNG Terminal in Brunsbüttel. The project, being built by German LNG Terminal GmbH and scheduled for completion in 2027, will have the capacity to send 10 billion cubic meters of gas into Germany's national grid every year.
The terminal includes two LNG tanks, each with a capacity of 165,000 cubic meters. It's designed around infrastructure for liquefied natural gas (LNG), bio LNG, and synthetic natural gas (SNG) - and will also enable the transition to lower-carbon fuel alternatives like hydrogen in the future.
This contract follows a similar deal with CS Gas North S.L for the Hanseatic Energy Hub in Stade, where Nikkiso CE&IG is supplying 20 low-pressure and nine high-pressure pumps for Germany's largest land-based terminal for liquefied gases.
