NLNG Targets 35% Capacity Growth with Train 7 Expansion
Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) has outlined its ambitious growth strategy to deepen Nigeria's gas economy, driven by the completion of its landmark Train 7 expansion project. The company aims to increase production capacity by approximately 35%, lifting output from 22 million tonnes per annum to 30 million tonnes per annum.
The Train 7 project is expected to boost exports and strengthen domestic energy availability, with NLNG projecting a nearly 50% increase in Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) supply to the Nigerian market. This will translate into an additional 250,000 tonnes annually to support households and industries.
NLNG's Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Adeleye Falade, emphasized that Train 7 represents more than just increased production capacity. It reflects confidence in Nigeria's gas potential and commitment to creating long-term value through exports, stronger domestic gas supply, Nigerian Content development, and economic growth.
