NNPC, Seplat Discuss Plans to Ramp Up Oil Production Amid Joint Ventures

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) and Seplat Energy Plc have held discussions to increase oil and gas production across their jointly held assets.

The meeting took place between NNPC's Group Chief Executive Officer Bashir Bayo Ojulari and Seplat Energy's newly appointed CEO Effiong Okon, who has been in office since August 1st, 2026.

Both leaders reviewed current production levels across their joint-venture acreage and outlined technical strategies to ramp up output.
