North Dakota Oil Production Surges Amid Higher Prices
The oil production in North Dakota has shown an uptick, with an average of 1.153 million barrels per day in June, a near 2.5% increase from May.
This is according to Nathan Anderson, director of the North Dakota Department of Mineral Resources, who presented the latest numbers during his Director's Cut media briefing on August 20.
The higher oil prices due to the ongoing US war with Iran have contributed to this positive trend for a state heavily reliant on oil and gas taxes for revenue.
Anderson noted that the production increase is not surprising given the current oil prices, but he was surprised by how quickly it occurred.
