North Dakota Shatters Natural Gas Production Record

North Dakota's natural gas production reached an all-time high in June, surpassing the previous record set in September 2024. According to Justin Kringstad, director of the North Dakota Pipeline Authority, natural gas production came in at 3.58 billion cubic feet (BCF) per day, a 1.59% increase from May.

Nathan Anderson, director of the North Dakota Department of Mineral Resources, reported that oil production also saw an increase, with June's total coming in strong at 34.583 million barrels, averaging 1.153 million barrels a day and up 2.45% from May.

Anderson noted that McKenzie County continues to dominate oil production, accounting for 33% of the state's total, but also pointed out that Divide County production is increasing.
