Norway's June Oil Production Surges to New High
The Norwegian Offshore Directorate has announced preliminary production figures for June 2026. According to the report, Norway's average daily oil and gas production in June reached a new high of 2,022,000 barrels of oil, NGL, and condensate.
Total gas sales for the month were 10.0 billion Sm3, which is a 0.6 (GSm3) increase from the previous month.
The average daily production of liquids in June was 1,827,000 barrels of oil, 179,000 barrels of NGL, and 16,000 barrels of condensate. Oil production in June exceeded the Norwegian Offshore Directorate's forecast by 1.8 percent and the year-to-date forecast by 5.7 percent.
The total petroleum production for the first six months of 2026 is approximately 122.2 million Sm3 oil equivalents (MSm3 o.e.). This represents a 5.9 MSm3 o.e. increase from the same period in 2025.
