Novorossiysk Grain Terminal Suspends Operations Amid Drone Strike

Russia's grain exports have been dealt another significant blow as the third of three major terminals at the Black Sea port of Novorossiysk has suspended operations following a drone strike.

The suspension was announced by Delo Group, the owner of the terminal, citing safety concerns for employees and infrastructure.

This comes on top of earlier suspensions at two other major grain terminals in the area, with some sources suggesting that Novorossiysk is still operating at a reduced capacity using smaller terminals.

Russian exports have already been under pressure since mid-July due to Ukrainian attacks and disruptions to port operations.

The suspension of these terminals has significant implications for global food markets, with estimates suggesting that 88% of Russian grain exports flow through the Azov and Black Sea basin.
