NSW Juniors Soar on Copper and Gold Demand
New South Wales juniors are gaining momentum in their resource exploration efforts, driven by strong demand for metals like copper and gold.
The region is home to established mines such as Newmont Corporation's Cadia mine, Evolution Mining's Northparkes and Cowal, Alkane Resources' Tomingley, and Silver Mines' Bowdens deposit. Industrial-scale demand from electrification, AI-driven infrastructure, and advanced manufacturing has pushed up prices: copper futures hit an all-time high at $6.703/lb in New York.
Adavale Resources (ASX:ADD) is one such junior, with a promising infill drill-out at London-Victoria supporting an upcoming Mineral Resource Estimate update in September. Chairman and CEO Allan Ritchie said the June quarter was 'one of the most action-oriented periods' for Adavale, citing significant exploration upside at Calarie.
Caspin Resources (ASX:CPN) is another, with drilling successes at the Bygoo tin project highlighting the potential for resource expansion. The company has spotted similar geophysical and geochemical characteristics to the Kelpie deposit at the Moss prospect, a short distance along strike.
