NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Plummet on Robust Supply
Natural Gas Futures at NYMEX took a hit on Tuesday as traders reacted to robust production levels, full storage tanks, and mixed demand forecasts.
The September contract plummeted by 11.6 cents to $2.665 per million British thermal units (MMBtu) at 11:50 a.m. ET.
Natural gas prices at the Henry Hub spot also suffered, as supply outpaced demand in what appears to be a well-supplied market.
