NYMEX Precious Metal Prices Surge on August 4th

New York's NYMEX market saw an increase in precious metals prices on August 4th. The price of gold futures rose by 1.79% to $4129.50 per troy ounce, which is equivalent to 31.1 grams.

Silver futures also saw a significant gain, increasing by 4.14% to $60.06 per troy ounce. Platinum futures were up by 6.98% to $1769.70 per troy ounce.

The NYMEX market is divided into two divisions: the NYMEX Division and the COMEX Division. The first division handles trades of oil, gas, platinum, palladium, ethanol, coal, electricity, and carbon dioxide emissions. The second division deals with gold, silver, copper, and aluminum.

The measurement unit for these precious metals is 1 troy ounce, which is equivalent to 31.1 grams.
