NYMEX Precious Metals Prices Drop Sharply on July 23
New York's NYMEX (New York Merchantile Exchange) has reported a decline in precious metals prices. On July 23, gold futures dropped by 1.78% to $4046.60 per troy ounce, while silver futures fell by 3.70% to $57.80 per troy ounce. Platinum futures also declined, down by 4.30% to $1592.00.
The NYMEX is a US futures market founded in 1882 and operates through two divisions: the NYMEX Division and the COMEX Division. The former handles trades of oil, gas, platinum, palladium, ethanol, coal, electricity, and carbon dioxide emissions, while the latter deals with gold, silver, copper, and aluminum.
