NYMEX Precious Metals Prices Rise on September 11
The New York Merchantile Exchange (NYMEX) has seen an uptick in precious metals prices. On September 11, gold futures rose by 0.04% to $4366.20 per troy ounce (31.1 grams), while silver futures increased by 2.30% to $64.55. Platinum futures also saw a gain of 1.24% to $1797.60.
NYMEX, founded in 1882, operates two divisions: the NYMEX Division and the COMEX Division. The former handles trades for oil, gas, platinum, palladium, ethanol, coal, electricity, and carbon dioxide emissions. The latter is responsible for gold, silver, copper, and aluminum trades.
