NYMEX Precious Metals Prices See Gains on July 30
The New York Merchantile Exchange (NYMEX) saw precious metals prices increase on July 30. According to NYMEX, the price of gold futures rose by 0.48% to $4075.60 per troy ounce, which is equivalent to 31.1 grams. Silver futures also saw a significant gain, increasing by 2.26% to $59.20 per troy ounce. Platinum futures were up by 2.30% to $1644.20 per troy ounce.
NYMEX has been in operation since 1882 and is currently divided into two divisions: the NYMEX Division, which handles trades of oil, gas, platinum, palladium, ethanol, coal, electricity, and carbon dioxide emissions; and the COMEX Division, which focuses on gold, silver, copper, and aluminum.
