NYMEX Precious Metals Prices See Mixed Results on August 12th
The New York Merchantile Exchange (NYMEX) has released its precious metals prices for August 12th. Gold futures have seen a slight increase, rising by 0.09% to $4410.50 per troy ounce. Silver futures have also gone up, increasing by 1.22% to $65.56 per troy ounce. On the other hand, platinum futures have taken a hit, dropping by 0.64% to $1753.70 per troy ounce.
The NYMEX is a US-based futures market that has been in operation since 1882. It currently consists of two divisions: the NYMEX Division and the COMEX Division. The NYMEX Division deals with trades of oil, gas, platinum, palladium, ethanol, coal, electricity, and carbon dioxide emissions, while the COMEX Division is responsible for gold, silver, copper, and aluminum trades.
