NYMEX Precious Metals Prices Slip on August 6
The New York Merchantile Exchange (NYMEX) reported that precious metals prices have declined on August 6. According to NYMEX, gold futures fell by 0.59% to $4242.00 per troy ounce, while silver futures dropped by 1.06% to $61.44. Platinum futures also decreased by 0.91% to $1749.90.
The measurement unit for these prices is 1 troy ounce (31.1 grams). NYMEX has two divisions: the NYMEX Division and the COMEX Division, with the latter handling trades of gold, silver, copper, and aluminum.
