NYMEX Precious Metals Prices Surge on August 19
New York's NYMEX has reported a significant increase in precious metals prices for August 19. According to Armenpress, the price of gold futures rose by 3.35% to $4493.00 per troy ounce, while silver futures increased by 2.80% to $65.73. Platinum futures also saw a notable gain, rising by 5.15% to $1816.70.
The NYMEX, founded in 1882, operates two divisions: the NYMEX Division and the COMEX Division. The former deals with trades of oil, gas, platinum, palladium, ethanol, coal, electricity, and carbon dioxide emissions, while the latter handles gold, silver, copper, and aluminum.
