NYMEX Publishes August Precious Metals Price Update
The New York Merchantile Exchange (NYMEX) has released its latest precious metals prices update for August 27th. According to the report, gold futures have decreased by a mere 0.02% to $4597.50 per troy ounce, while silver futures have seen an increase of 1.13% to $68.76. Platinum futures, however, have dropped by 0.46% to $1850.70.
The NYMEX is a US futures market founded in 1882 and operates through two divisions: the NYMEX Division for trades involving oil, gas, platinum, palladium, ethanol, coal, electricity, and carbon dioxide emissions; and the COMEX Division for gold, silver, copper, and aluminum.
