NYMEX Reports Precious Metals Prices for August 11
The New York Merchantile Exchange (NYMEX), a US futures market founded in 1882, reported precious metals prices for August 11. The price of gold futures rose by 1.02% to $4406.50 per troy ounce, while silver futures fell by 0.52% to $64.77. Platinum futures also declined, down 0.30% at $1765.00.
The NYMEX Division is responsible for trades of oil, gas, platinum, palladium, ethanol, coal, electricity, and carbon dioxide emissions. The COMEX Division handles gold, silver, copper, and aluminum. Both divisions contribute to the exchange's trading activities.
