NYMEX Sees Declines Across Precious Metals
The New York Merchantile Exchange (NYMEX) reported decreases in precious metals prices on August 6. The NYMEX is a US futures market founded in 1882, operating with two divisions: the NYMEX Division and the COMEX Division.
The NYMEX Division handles trades of oil, gas, platinum, palladium, ethanol, coal, electricity, and carbon dioxide emissions. Meanwhile, the COMEX Division focuses on gold, silver, copper, and aluminum.
Precious metals prices for August 6 showed a decline. Gold futures dropped by 0.59% to $4242.00 per troy ounce (31.1 grams). Silver futures decreased by 1.06% to $61.44. Platinum futures also fell, down by 0.91% to $1749.90.
