NYMEX Sees Precious Metals Prices Plummet Across the Board
Precious metal prices have taken a hit on the NYMEX market as of July 27. Gold futures have seen an 0.81% decline, dropping to $4074.50 per troy ounce (31.1 grams). Silver futures also experienced a decrease, down by 0.32% to $58.47. Meanwhile, platinum futures saw the largest drop, plummeting by 2.27% to $1613.60.
The NYMEX market is home to two divisions: the NYMEX Division and the COMEX Division. The former handles trades for oil, gas, platinum, palladium, ethanol, coal, electricity, and carbon dioxide emissions. In contrast, the latter deals with gold, silver, copper, and aluminum.
