NYMEX Sees Slight Increases in Gold and Silver Futures

The New York Merchantile Exchange (NYMEX) has released its precious metals prices for August 3rd. According to the report, gold futures have seen a slight increase of 0.20% to $4057.00 per troy ounce. Meanwhile, silver futures have also experienced growth, rising by 0.14% to $57.67.

However, platinum futures have taken a hit, decreasing by 0.27% to $1654.20. The NYMEX, founded in 1882, operates two divisions: the NYMEX Division and the COMEX Division. The former handles trades of oil, gas, platinum, palladium, ethanol, coal, electricity, and carbon dioxide emissions.

The latter is responsible for gold, silver, copper, and aluminum trades. It's worth noting that these prices are based on a measurement unit of 1 troy ounce (31.1 grams).
