Oceaneering Wins Five-Year Asset Integrity Contract in Qatar
Oceaneering International has secured a five-year contract to provide inspection and asset integrity services to a Qatar-based oil company.
The contract, which was awarded after a competitive tender process, underscores Oceaneering's role in providing integrity management services in Qatar, where it has been operating for over 20 years.
Operators in the Middle East face significant asset integrity challenges due to high pressure and temperature environments, hydrogen sulfide presence, and aging infrastructure. In fact, a recent study found that 46% of operators report that up to half of their assets are running beyond their intended design life.
To address these challenges, Oceaneering will utilize its local workforce and leverage its digital inspection software, Inform, which centralizes inspection data and adds 3D visualization capabilities. The company may also deploy Vision, a data visualisation platform that creates engineering-grade models of topside and subsea assets.
Oceaneering's senior vice president of IMDS, Leo Granato, stated, 'This award underscores our ability to deliver reliable, digitally enabled integrity solutions that enhance production reliability and asset uptime while supporting regulatory compliance.'
