Ogoni Oil Resumption Dialogue Process Compromised by Massive Corruption

The Movement for the Survival of Ogoni People (MOSOP) has expressed alarm over a report alleging massive corruption among key leaders of the Ogoni oil resumption dialogue process.

The report claims that some leaders have been compromised to facilitate the re-entry of oil production in Ogoni, which is being done without the consent and social license of the Ogoni community.

MOSOP demands an immediate halt to the operations and the publication of a list of 40 NNPCL employment slots for Ogoni that has been withheld by some leaders. The organization also accuses these leaders of involvement in shoddy deals, including the negotiation of a 5% equity and ownership benefits from Sahara Energy.
