OGRA Slashes RLNG Prices Amid Ongoing Gas Load-Shedding Nationwide
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced significant cuts in regasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) prices for August, citing a single PSO cargo import. This move comes as gas load-shedding continues to disrupt supply nationwide.
The new rates are based on the $6.15 to $6.95 per MMBtu range across transmission and distribution networks compared to July 2026. For Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL), the transmission price has been set at $17.4880 per MMBtu and the distribution price at $19.0276 per MMBtu.
In contrast, for Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL) network, transmission stands at $16.0724 per MMBtu and distribution at $18.1345 per MMBtu. Compared to July, SNGPL's transmission price fell by $6.2140 per MMBtu, or 26.22%, while its distribution price dropped by $6.8112 per MMBtu, or 26.36%.
