Oil Flows from Gulf Reach 15 Million Barrels Per Day Amid Improved Security
US Energy Secretary Chris Wright announced that oil flows from the Gulf have increased to approximately 15 million barrels per day, thanks to coordinated efforts by the US military and its Gulf allies.
The seven-day average for oil leaving the Strait of Hormuz has reached nearly 9 million barrels per day, according to Wright. This figure is up from previous averages, reflecting improved security in the region.
Wright also noted that more than 20 million barrels of oil left the Arabian Gulf region on Sunday, exceeding pre-war averages. This surge in oil exports comes as negotiations between the US and Iran continue, following a Memorandum of Understanding signed in June.
