Oil Giants Reap Record Profits Amid Ongoing Supply Disruptions
Major integrated oil companies have announced record profits for the second quarter of 2026. ExxonMobil reported an impressive profit of approximately $14.5 billion, while Chevron and Shell reported profits of $12.1 billion and between $9.8 billion and $10.8 billion respectively.
The strong financial performance of these companies suggests that high oil prices and robust refining margins are translating into significant producer profits.
Market analysts note that Chevron's earnings were the highest quarterly profit in at least six years, surpassing analyst expectations.
