Oil India Limited shares rose by approximately 2.6% on August 10, after the company reported a standalone net profit of ₹2,870.21 crore for the June quarter, representing a 253% increase from last year.

The strong quarterly performance was driven by higher production and favorable market conditions, with crude oil production increasing by 11.37% to reach 0.950 million metric tons.

The company also benefited from healthy global crude oil prices, with realizations averaging $98.73 per barrel during the quarter.

However, investors are carefully weighing these results against regulatory hurdles and a high debt position resulting from ongoing capital investments.
