Oil Pollution Spreads to Qeshm and Hengam After US-Israeli Aggression

The southern coasts of Qeshm and Hengam in Iran have been contaminated with oil pollution following US-Israeli aggression, according to Shina Ansari, head of Iran's Environmental Protection Organization. The contamination is considered a direct consequence of the military action on Iran's coastal and marine ecosystem.

Environmental authorities, government bodies, and local communities are working together to contain the pollution and clean affected areas. Specialized teams have been deployed to monitor the situation, while cleanup operations are being conducted in coordination with local authorities, village councils, and NGOs.

Around 950 meters of the Suza shoreline have already been cleaned manually. The provincial authority estimated that the pollution had affected approximately 32,000 square meters of coastal areas and around 90,000 square meters of marine waters over two days.
