Oil Price Decline Boosts Risk Appetite as Tech Stocks Rebound
Wall Street stocks are rebounding today thanks to falling oil prices, which have boosted risk appetite. The Nasdaq leads the charge with a gain of 0.3%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 are up just 0.05% and 0.1%, respectively.
The decline in crude oil prices is driving investor optimism, particularly among tech stocks. AI-related companies such as Nvidia, Micron, and Intel are leading the rebound, with gains of 1.7%, 1.7%, and 1.6%, respectively.
Other notable gainers include chipmakers AMD (+3.75%) and data center energy provider Fluence (+2.9%). However, defensive sectors such as energy and consumer goods are largely posting losses.
